Kathleen and Coreen left for Vegas yesterday, and Hailey, Dallas, and Gillian left today. It's down to Loralee, Lauren, and I...and we're off to Vegas on Thursday to celebrate Lauren's birthday!
Today was another great day, and the weather cooperated. Hot, sunny, and calm. The three of us went back to the Lodges this morning, I went to Deja while Lauren and Loralee went to Angel's. I spent the morning walking dogs, some of which were real characters. The dogs in these areas are some of the tougher cases. I could spend every day there, I like the misunderstood mutts.

Lauren is going to adopt a puppy from here, Quest. We took his sister, Adventure, on an outing today. OMG are these pups cute! Purebred pit bulls, they were an owner surrender.
We brought another dog back for an overnight tonight, Celine. She is a pittie-lab cross, who was rescued after Katrina as a puppy. She was adopted, and then a few months later Best Friends got a call that she was running at large in Miami. So she is back at the sanctuary. She is very dog reactive and gets extremely over stimulated at the sanctuary so it was requested we take her for an overnight. She's much different outside the sanctuary. She's still dog reactive but after a quick half hour walk she is very calm and is just chilling out on the floor.
