We came here to work with dogs, so our base for the next few days is Dogtown. We did get a chance to stop in at Cat World yesterday,though, and visit some of the cats with leukemia. I tell you, if I were a cat, there are far worse places to be than Cat World!
We also had a chance to meet our first resident of Dogtown, Boomer!

And, when we went to Dogtown HQ to sign in for our first volunteer session, we were greeted by Rollie, who explained to Coreen in great detail where the treat jar was kept.
After our volunteer session, Loralee and I took the opportunity to explore a cave we spotted from the road.
Our dining place of choice last night was Houston's Trail's End, where Lauren and I enjoyed the delicious vegetarian quesadillas while the rest of the crew went with artery clogging chicken-fried-chicken and steak. It was all washed down by an ice cold beer:
