Also - more good news, an update from Kathleen who went down to Phoenix to pick up her sweet girl Velma. She also picked up a cat for someone in Edmonton, Gracie, a senior cat with liver issues who may not have many years left, but lots of love! Seems like lots of people have soft spots for the senior pets - good on 'em!

"Just got into the office but wanted to let you know that we all made it back safe and sound. Velma and Gracie were little angels and did not make a peep on the plane. Velma was truly a hit at the airport. Al stood back and just rolled his eyes, it was hilarious. Some lady in line for Phoenix security gave me her card, she has a radio talk show on rescued animals. It is somewhere in the US but I am going to send her an email. Velma and Abby are going to be great friends, can’t forget Louis(my cat). They all seemed to really take to Velma. Velma spent a long time last night walking around the island in my kitchen. She is hilarious, due to her ear I think she walks in circles all the time. She ate and drank and pooped and peed. I am going home at lunch to check on her.
You will all have to come over for a visit.
